OnePlus turned out to be the fastest in releasing updates. The stable version of OxygenOS 11 for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro was released 32 days after the release of Android 11. That’s a bit longer than the 18 days for Android 10 in 2019, but a great result too.
OnePlus’ sister company Oppo released a stable Color OS 11 update 56 days after the OS release, starting with the Oppo Find X2 family of smartphones.
Xiaomi started updating the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro to Android 11 down 62 days after the OS release. In 2020, Xiaomi set a kind of record for the speed of release of updates – in 2019, the manufacturer took 122 days to release a stable version of Android 10, and at the launch of Android 7 Nougat, the company “fiddled” as much as 200 days.
Realme began updating Realme X50 Pro will descend 87 days after the release of Android 11. Samsung – after 95 days, the pioneers were the Galaxy Note20 and Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Sony took 97 days to release Android 11 for the Sony Xperia 1 II. And the Asus Zenfone 6 started updating to Android 11 112 days after the OS release.
LG Velvet got a stable Android 11 after 144 days, Motorola too released Android 11 for Moto G Pro after 144 days. Nokia smartphones started updating to Android 11 after 147 days with the Nokia 8.3 model and that was as recently as February 2, 2021.
