The main feature of the updated OS is customization of its appearance. The developers paid special attention to the lock screen, where you can customize different wallpapers, clock and displayed information. Ready-made templates are available for quick customization. In addition, users can customize application shortcuts.
Android 14 introduces a new monochrome theme that uses grayscale backgrounds for apps rather than the installed wallpaper. Ultra HDR is also supported. A particular highlight is the artificial intelligence-based wallpaper generator, where the user can enter a text description and algorithms will create an appropriate image. Initially, this feature will only be available on the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro smartphones.
The update also includes some new security features such as deep key access support, protecting sensitive data and using a six-digit PIN for the lock screen. It also introduces Health Connect, a platform that allows you to store your health data directly on your device, similar to Apple Health.
Other innovations in Android 14 include improved Google Camera features, separate ringtone and message sound adjustment, flash alerts, and many other useful features.
